King & Superking (or twin) doubles on top floor w/bathroom. Garden floor: king bed with en suite shower room, dressing area. Private door to garden. We are surrounded by wooded and hillside walks, there is a kids' playground very close by and village shop is also walking distance. The canal and river are at the bottom of the valley and there are cafés and pubs all walking distance from the cottage. We are at the top of the Golden Valley between Chalford and Stroud. There are 5 valleys all starting in Stroud. These 5 valleys are the reason the Stroud valleys have been nicknamed the Devil's Claw- it is said once you have visited you will feel compelled to return.....(or maybe it's because of the stunning vistas, the many official AONBs (Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the chill friendly people who live here....).

This is a lovely area of the Cotswolds with lots of interesting places within walking distance or a short drive away. The cottage is really cosy and extremely quiet. It really feels like a home because it contains everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were very comfy. Lots of nice touches like homemade cookies on arrival! Alison is a super-responsive host and all questions we had were dealt with quickly, e.g. best pubs for food within walking distance. We really hope to stay at Key cottage again in the future.

Three of us has a wonderful stay at this cottage nearby Stroud! Ali was so thoughtful and meticulous, everything was neatly labeled and instructions were clear. We originally picked this cottage for the kitchen, and found it well stocked with cooking tools and dishes, as well as coffee and tea options. It was so nice to see three napkins set out for us, and three freshly baked cookies too. We also enjoyed a glass of sherry and bottle of bubbles! This special attention to detail made us feel welcome. Ali also included many helpful maps and guides of the local area- we used the dining room table as our planning space, and it was also perfect for board games. The location was perfect and the local restaurants were great too. We slept comfortably and all was quiet in the house. We were also grateful for the basement room with its own bathroom so we could all have privacy. I would absolutely come back, we felt I truly relaxed in this cozy, warm, and peaceful cottage.

Very clean and cosy! Well appointed with everything we needed - including bits we'd requested like a travel cot, highchair, children's cutlery, baby bath etc. So many nice touches that made it feel like a real holiday - home baked cookies on arrival and a decanter with sherry. It was great to have proper tea and coffee too. Communication from the host was speedy. We loved the cottage and would definitely book again.

Key Cottage is exactly what I thought a typical English Cottage should be - and then some. This lovely AirBnB was exceptional. The attention to detail - i have never experienced anything like it. From the supplied amenities and complementary niceties, to the exact directions to locate the property. The home is cosy and welcoming with included delicious gift and lovely greeting card and anything and everything we could need was readily available. A bonus digital & downloadable manual provided additional info on where to go and what to do and the hosts were extremely attentive and quick to respond to inquiries. Wish I could have stayed longer and highly recommend.
